Welcome to Philly Style Stories, the new Students Run Philly Style Blog!
Students Run Philly Style transforms students’ lives through running and mentorship. We pair students, in grades 6-12, with volunteer running leaders who train together each year to achieve an ultimate goal – running a long-distance race. We typically serve around 1,500 students across 60 schools and 48 zip codes of Philadelphia. Our core values of Courage, Effort, and Respect define and inform who we are, what we do, and how we do it!
The purpose of Philly Style Stories is to share the stories of our students, volunteer running leaders, staff, and anyone else involved with our program. We hope that through sharing these stories, you learn more about our program, see and hear your voices amplified, and can share appreciation for the experiences and accomplishments of our incredible team members.
We want to hear from you! On our main blog site, you can share your SRPS Story with us by going to the “Click Here to Share Your SRPS Story” button and filling out the form. Tell us about a fun experience you had with SRPS, a challenge you overcame, a team tradition, an accomplishment you’re proud of, or something else – feel free to get creative! We can’t wait to feature you on Philly Style Stories.
